My journey in this profession began with a poignant moment when I attended a funeral of a dear friend who passed away unexpectedly. What transpired during that service revolutionised my outlook. The ceremony wasn't just another painful step to endure; it was a unique and authentic experience that brought clarity, comfort, and a deep connection to the person we held close to our hearts.
Witnessing how that ceremony transformed the mourning process deeply impacted me. It showcased the power of personalisation and provided an opportunity for us to truly come together and commemorate our friend's life. Choirs of friends sang, native flowers adorned the coffin, and contemplation by the harbour allowed for reflection on cherished memories.
That day, healing began. The experience illuminated the range of options available to honour the departed, and I realised my calling: to help others create their own preferred ways to bid farewell.
My approach as a Funeral Director is holistic. I guide families and communities throughout the entire funeral process, offering insights and expertise to empower them in making choices that align with their loved one's needs.
